Tie Domi's Movie Debut March 18, 2001 Here's a special treat for you Leaf fans! As you may have noticed, Leafs tough guy Tie Domi has improved his acting skills this past season. With 13 goals, compared to that of Stumpy Steve Thomas' whopping 7, one might say that Tie has either learned how to play the role of a much more versatile Leaf. Add this to the mediocre performance of some of the other boys in Blue this season, and one might even have Domi up there as the second most valuable Bud of the year, right behind Curtis Joseph. He's even got his quota of penalty minutes (over 200), and has somehow managed to score a record 13 goals, some of them bordering on spectacular (although many of them would also border on "fluky"). People all over the world are celebrating Tie's achievements, and you too can wager on how many Tie will put in by the end of the season (just go to www.tiedomi.com and enter the contest!). Has Domi's hockey training paid off? Nah, says the Paperless One, for he has been tipped off as to what really has gotten into Tie this year. The acting bug. Tie, being a versatile guy (he spent the 1995 off-season playing soccer, and he has been known to act as a guest place kicker for the Toronto Argonauts football team), has added another item to his resume: film actor. He appears, very briefly, in a film by the name of "Men of Means". The Paperless One has brought you a sneak peak of Tie's acting debut. Mind you, don't rush out and buy the movie or anything - your cash would be better spent bidding on a Domi fight archive video on eBay! As for you, Tie, can you teach the rest of the Leafs how to act like hockey players? We're getting worried! |
