Get out the zucchinidrills - it's a brand new millennium!

January 7, 2001

Cheers, and welcome to PAPERLESS 2001.    The Paperless One hopes you all had a good holiday season and didn't get too stressed out with all that nasty Xmas consumerism.  It's been chaos around here for the past couple weeks, but things should settle down, and maybe even all of the links on this site will eventually work properly!  This week, the Paperless One brings you a couple Xmas goodies.

First, check out the great write-up on the side of a falafel ball maker that I got for Xmas.  To tell you the truth, I haven't been all that busy over the holidays, but I have spent more than my fair share of time wondering what the hell a zucchinidrill is.  Searching the web, that great fountain of useless information, hasn't even done it for me.

Oh well, I guess I may never know!  I have yet to find out if this gadget even works...I'm still looking for a dry garlic vessl (sic).  One thing is for certain, the Paperless One is keeping the box that this one came in - it reminds me of an old instruction manual for a VCR, before the electronics companies got the brilliant idea to hire English-speaking people to write owner's manuals.

What else has been going on @ the Paperless homestead?  Well, the Paperless One is currently enjoying receiving hockey scores on his cellphone.  Check out http://mobile.excite.com if you are a Rogers AT&T subscriber and want to find out how to get the weather, hockey scores, and various other useless information sent to your cellphone.

One last thing for you high-bandwidth bastards.  Yes, I'm still using the lowly 56K modem, and the last time I checked, I wasn't able to get cable access or DSL.  I actually called up the cable company to give them shit for wasting so much money on advertising while leaving subscribers like me out of the loop and continually taunting me about it.  They promised me that they would get to the bottom of it and call me back.  However, when they did, Mrs. Paperless diverted the call, thinking that I had forgot to pay the cable bill!  I may never know what their investigations came up with.

The Paperless One is now armed with a digital video camera and he is dangerous!  Expect video clips on  www.egulphy.com throughout the year, but for now, until I learn a bit more about video compression and editing, here is a short clip of the Junior Paperless One playing guitar.

Catch you next week!
